Airports are sad lonely places...

Now that I'm back from my trip all my memories of this place aren't what I remembered...and certain places that maintained a loneliness to them before I left are now even more lonely to me, and places in the Bay Area now have a similar emotional attachmentl. But it is nice to be back in a familiar place I call home. Here are some drawings I did while I was away or somewhat recently. Crooked Teeth #4 will be out at MOCCA!

The larger page is something Austin and I did sometime...I don't remember, but I like the whole page a lot...

Bay Area Bound

So I'm heading to the East Bay tomorrow for 10 days, so I won't have anything updated for a while. Probably not the worst news you've heard, so when I get back look forward to a lot of images, both drawn and taken...

and let the comics begin...

So it's been a long time since I've penciled a page from thumbnails and last night I started and inked a whole page, and today I inked half of a second page and whatnot... I'm pretty stoked to be working on something other than diary comics or sketchbook stuff (especially since the quality of the sketchbook I have right now is shit city). Here's a panel from my untitled story:

And here's some sketchbook shit

I Saw You out now, son!

After a year or so's passed since I finished a comic for it, the anthology "I Saw You"(edited by Julia Wertz) has come out and is available now in comic shops, book stores and the internet! There's also a blog here: http://missedconnectioncomics.blogspot.com/
Check it out! Forbidden Planet's sold out right now, but we'll get more soon...And there's a signing at Desert Island Comics (on metropolitan btw union and lorimer) February 20th!! Free booze and cookies, I'm back on the wagon, so it'll be cookies for me.
No really new drawings lately, but I have been reading some great comics that are new to me and I love! Surviving Saskatoon by David Collier is amongst them and is having a large influence on my drawing lately, Drop In by David Lapp and a bunch of Gipi (The Innocents and Notes for a War Story) and I'm back on another Hernandez brothers kick, so that's nothing bad...

finally...

So, I finally have the internet and am almost settled in my new home. It's a loft space and stuff, here are some photos of my room:

(yes that's scott pilgrim 5 on my bed...busted)
And to make up for the lack of comics and drawings, here's some I was saving...

So, now that I have the internet and have for some reason been totally stoked on getting things done (I'm with Julia and blame January...), hopefully a lot more comics and sketchbook things will be put up on this at least twice a week! Take care

a well respected van

So after being up since 7am and dealing with New York City's DMV and the insurance company I'm now in the final processes of registering and owning a van (split 7 ways... between two bands)! It was by far the most stressful thing I've dealt with in my life, in and out of the DMV five times, the original notary had the guy who was selling it and myself sign in the wrong spot and the identical insurance letter I presented to four people was not sufficient enough until the end of the day. FUCK!!!
And now, after taking the day off from work to deal with this, I'm far too exhausted to enjoy the fact that I came out in the end, victorious!! Anyways, here's some sketchbook bullshit to alleve tension:
